Damien Fricker (Now Thirty One Ltd) originally approached us is the autumn of 2007, he had been running a print finishing business for someone else for several years and had previously run the finishing department in and large printing company. Damien was keen to set up on his own and ‘do it for himself’! With the assistance of Compass he put together a business plan and financial forecast, and agreed with some long standing customers that they would commit their business to him.
Over several meeting with Damien, Compass could see that the project had all the ingredients required to make a new business successful, despite the tough economic climate. Compass put together a finance package that enabled Damien to retain some cash in the business to fund cashflow, and structure repayments such that they were affordable.
Damien, now Thirty One Ltd, made the investment and has been successful from the outset; In fact Thirty One Ltd upgraded their equipment in 2010 which Compass providing the funding for, and we continue to support Thirty One Ltd to this day to this day.
