Commission Statement

Compass Business Finance Limited ("Compass", "we", "us", "our") is an independent lender and finance broker.

As an independent lender, we may lend to you directly. However, we also work with a select group of verified and approved Intermediaries. These Intermediaries have a commercial arrangement with us, and we pay them a commission for introducing our services and helping you arrange your finance agreement.

The role of an Intermediary is to find a suitable financing arrangement for your business and connect you with an appropriate lender.

Please note that the Intermediary does not search the entire lending market but works with a specific selection of lenders. Depending on your circumstances, alternative finance options may be available elsewhere. Every finance agreement is tailored to the specific needs and requirements of a business. It is important to consider all your options before entering into a finance agreement.

Compass also acts as an Intermediary. In such cases, we may introduce you to another lender who we believe is better suited to your needs. We are not independent financial advisors. We may inform you about certain products we believe are suitable for your company’s circumstances, but you are not obliged to take up our propositions.

Commission Calculation

The commission is a percentage of the amount financed. This amount is paid directly to the Intermediary by Compass Business Finance Limited or, if we are the Intermediary, it is paid directly to us, and it is included in the Total Amount Payable.

If you settle your finance agreement early or default on the agreement, the Intermediary may be asked to repay all or part of the commission.

Compass Business Finance Limited does not charge you a fee for our services. However, we will receive a commission from the lender we introduce you to.

Whether we are paying commission to an Intermediary or receiving a commission for introducing you elsewhere, the full amount of commission being paid will be detailed to you before you commit to the finance agreement.
